BRAD KISNER

BRAD KISNER is Director of Music and Fine Arts at Corpus Christi’s First United Methodist Church, where he directs a large program of singing, ringing and instrumental choirs and ensembles. His twenty five plus years of full time church work has taken youth and adult choirs of all sizes on tours in more than twenty five states from coast to coast and abroad. Choirs under his direction have appeared in Carnegie Hall and, in 2002, the First United Methodist Church, Corpus Christi Chancel Choir was part of the International Church Music Festival in Coventry, England.

Mr. Kisner earned the Bachelor of Music from Oklahoma State University, with an organ major and the Master of Sacred Music degree from Southern Methodist University with an emphasis in Choral Conducting.An Adjunct Instructor of Music at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, Mr. Kisner is a past national President of the Fellowship of United Methodists in Music and Worship Arts and has served as Chair of Area IX (Oklahoma & Texas) and a national board member of the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers. He has served as Dean of the Corpus Christi and West Texas Chapters of the American Guild of Organists. In Corpus Christi Brad has served as a member of the Corpus Christi Symphony Executive Board, Corpus Christi Municipal Arts Commission, the Corpus Christi Chapter of the American Red Cross as well as president of two local school PTA’s. He is accompanist for Viva Voce a professional vocal ensemble.

Brad is married to Jane, the Associate Director of Music at First United Methodist Church. They have two children, Evan and Sarah.
