Dr. Naomi Seidman lectures on

DR. NAOMI SEIDMAN





Dr. Naomi Seidman is Assistant Professor of Flute at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in May of 2007. Her primary teachers include Marianne Gedigian, Jill Felber, Ransom Wilson, Tadeu Coehlo and Christina Smith.

Ms. Seidman received her Bachelor of Music from the University of California at Santa Barbara and her Master of Music degree from Yale University. In 2006 she won the Mid South Flute Competition and was first runner up in the Myrna Brown Young Artist Competition. She was also a semi-finalist in the Beijing Nicolet International Flute Competition.

In 2005, Ms. Seidman won First Prize in the Frank Bowen Young Artist Competition; as the winner, she performed as a soloist with the Santa Fe Symphony in December 2005. Currently in Texas Naomi is a member of the Victoria Symphony Orchestra and the Corpus Christi Symphony.
